A postgraduate programme called the Master of Physiotherapy (MPT) is created to instruct students in the practice and theory of physical therapy. Building on the information and abilities acquired in a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) programme, it is a two-year curriculum.
An MPT program’s curriculum is created to give students superior knowledge in physical therapy and subjects that are linked to it. The course material covers both theoretical and practical instruction in disciplines including neurology, pathology, kinesiology, biomechanics, and anatomy.
Advanced diagnostic and treatment methods for a variety of illnesses and injuries, such as musculoskeletal disorders, neurological disorders, cardiopulmonary disorders, and sports injuries, are also taught to MPT programme students.
An MPT program’s practical training involves supervised clinical practice at healthcare facilities such hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, sports clinics, and other facilities. This enables students to work directly with patients and treat a variety of ailments while being guided by seasoned physiotherapists.
Graduates of MPT programmes have a wide range of job options available to them. They might work as physiotherapists at clinics, sports teams, private practices, hospitals, and other healthcare facilities. They may also decide to engage in physical therapy research, education, or administration.
